<aside> 💡 In this original white paper, I use Critical Race Theory’s concept of “racial realism” to analyze the crisis of working poverty and put forth how policymakers, educators and the workforce development system might best disrupt working poverty and support jobseekers of color.
I argue that Black workers need 1) quality jobs via a restructured labor market and 2) realistic insights into the state of racial inequality to fend off predatory employers and misinformation until workplace equity is accomplished.
